89 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Apok and SangPhou Village, Nong District, Savannakhet Province.

The Concerning the Project on Access to COVID-19 Vaccine Support in Lao PDR (AHP) is implemented in 4 districts in Savannakhet province, with funding from the Australian Government through Oxfam in Laos, in partnership with the Ministry of Health through the Department of Hygiene and Health Promotion, and operated by the Association of Rural Mobilisation and Improvement (ARMI).

Vaccination against COVID-19 is still considered important, but awareness and understanding among people in rural areas are still limited. We together with the medical team have been active in providing vaccination services for the prevention of COVID-19 and regular rounds, as well as advertising about the benefits of vaccines. Concerning the Project on Access to COVID-19 Vaccine Support in Lao PDR (AHP), by setting up service points at Apok Village and SangPhou Village, Asing Health Center A total of 89 people (56 women) came to receive the vaccine this time, including people with disabilities, people with chronic diseases, people with general conditions, pregnant women, and the elderly.
