Bi-Anuual Meeting of LAN project (July 2022 – Jun 2023)

On August 15-16, 2023, we, The Participatory Community Development for Livelihoods Improvement and Nutrition Promotion in Rural Areas (LAN) held a meeting to report on the implementation of project activities at the meeting room of the Department of Planning and Investment, Savannakhet Province. co-chaired by Mr. Anosack Phengthimmavong Deputy Director General, Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, participated with relevant partners from many sectors such as: Ministry, Provincial, District (3 District are: Atsaphone, Thapangthong District, Savannakhet Province, and DakChueng District, Sekong Province), and Project Teams, which include a total of 55 people (19 women). The objective to report the implementation of project activities is from July 2022 - June 2023.

In the meeting, the participants listened to a report on the results of the activities, had a discussion, and shared opinions about the achievements, problems, challenges, and solutions, the use of the budget, and the plan to be implemented in the future. Also, before attending the meeting, the participants visited the target village in 2 villages 2 Districts: Houaydeua Village, Atsaphone District and PhueViengkham village, Thapangthong District, Savannakhet Province, and met with the village authorities, representatives the target groups that receive income-generating activities are: families that receive activities such as raising goats, raising frogs, raising fish, growing rice, mushrooms planted, etc.
