Complete mental health counseling and awareness for the target community at 20 villages in Chomphet District, Luang Prabang Province

The Community-Based Inclusive Development project in Luang Prabang province Phase II (CBID-LPB) is implemented in 20 villages in Chomphet District, Luang Prabang Province, Lao PDR. The project’s objectives are to support improving the quality of people with disabilities lives, to support income generation, and life development activities for all types of disabled people. The project is funded by CBM Global Disability Inclusion (CBM Global).

Between June 6 - 9, 2023, our project completed training and supported the lives of target groups in 20 villages in Chomphet District, Luang Prabang Province. which includes members of self-help groups, family members of people with disabilities, local service providers, social workers, and others. which has the following details:

Training topic: Use of Facilitation Guides and Peer Counseling to Enable People with Disabilities of All Types to Participate in Community Development and Access All Services, which has a total of 37 participants (28 women).

Training topic: Basic mental health and social psychology for community doctors and social workers to give advice on basic mental health and social psychology to doctors, village volunteers, and village women's unions, including individuals, families, and self-help groups of people with disabilities. which has a total of 56 participants (10 women).
