The Community-Based Inclusive Development project in Luang Prabang province Phase II (CBID-LPB) is implemented in 20 villages in Chomphet District, Luang Prabang Province, Lao PDR. The project’s objectives are to support improving the quality of people with disabilities lives, to support income generation, and life development activities for all types of disabled people. The project is funded by CBM Global Disability Inclusion (CBM Global).

On July 10–12, 2023, we organized training on the vegetable planting techniques in Chomphet District, Luang Prabang Province. which has a total of 21 participants (5 women), including 6 disabled people (2 women). The objective is to provide knowledge and build capacity in income-generating activities for the target group of the project.

In the training, the participants discussed and exchanged lessons on many topics, such as the selection of varieties to plant, the season for planting each type of plant, equipment preparation, soil preparation, how to sow seeds, making compost, making photosynthetic water, etc. In addition to training in the classroom, we also took the participants to visit and practice in the garden of Mr. Keopaserd in Pholad Village, Chomphet District, Luang Prabang Province.
