Handing out support equipment to people with 13 disability persons in 9 target villages in Chomphet district, Luang Prabang province

The Community-Based Inclusive Development project in Luang Prabang province Phase II (CBID-LPB) is implemented in 20 villages in Chomphet District, Luang Prabang Province, Lao PDR. The project’s objectives are to support improving the quality of people with disabilities lives, to support income generation, and life development activities for all types of disabled people. The project is funded by CBM Global Disability Inclusion (CBM Global).

In the 3rd week of July 2023, we, The Community-Based Inclusive Development project in Luang Prabang province Phase II, together with relevant partners from the provincial and district levels, gave equipment and support equipment to the target group of 13 people with disabilities (07 women) from 9 village in Chomphet district, as well as introduced how to use and maintain them. We have given aids to 6 people with physical disabilities, including: 2 tripod cane, 3 forearm crutches, 1 walking aid, and 7 white cane safety to 7 visually impaired people. (Total value: 6,787,000 kip).

The team told that: after the target group received this equipment, they were happy and could participate in social activities, and have a better life.
