Meeting to report the results of basic data collection to promote the living conditions of the target group in Chomphet District

The Community-Based Inclusive Development project in Luang Prabang province Phase II (CBID-LPB) is implemented in 20 villages in Chomphet District, Luang Prabang Province, Lao PDR. The project’s objectives are to support improving the quality of people with disabilities lives, to support income generation, and life development activities for all types of disabled people. The project is funded by CBM Global Disability Inclusion (CBM Global).

After we collected basic information and assessed the actual area of the target group of 483 families, in the second week of June 2023, a meeting was held to report the results of the data collection, co-chaired by Mr. Somsak Silivong, Deputy of the District Governor of Chomphet District and Mr. Thongvan Chanpeng, Head of Labor and Social Welfare Office of Chomphet District. There are 60 participants from various sectors (13 women), including 14 people with disabilities (3 women).

The objective is to report the results of the basic data collection for activities to promote the livelihood of people with disabilities and poor families in 20 target villages of the project.
