Monitoring the after support equipment of 13 target groups in Chomphet District

The Community-Based Inclusive Development project in Luang Prabang province Phase II (CBID-LPB) is implemented in 20 villages in Chomphet District, Luang Prabang Province, Lao PDR. The project’s objectives are to support improving the quality of people with disabilities lives, to support income generation, and life development activities for all types of disabled people. The project is funded by CBM Global Disability Inclusion (CBM Global).

In addition to giving support equipment to the target group, to ensure that the equipment given to them can be used appropriately for those with disabilities, in the middle of August 2023, we monitored how people using the equipment that was given to 13 target groups (7 women) in 9 target villages of the project. Which includes: tripod cane, forearm crutches, walking aid, and white cane safety.

After monitoring, it was found that: 2 people had to change their equipment from forearm crutches to tripod cane, 1 person had to adjust their forearm crutches to be able to use the equipment to benefit their mobility and rehabilitation.
