Six Month Monitoring and Evaluation Meeting of the CBID-LPB project Phase II in Luang Prabang province

The Community-Based Inclusive Development project in Luang Prabang province Phase II (CBID-LPB) is implemented in 20 villages in Chomphet District, Luang Prabang Province, Lao PDR. The project’s objectives are to support improving the quality of people with disabilities lives, to support income generation, and life development activities for all types of disabled people. The project is funded by CBM Global Disability Inclusion (CBM Global).

On August 1-2, 2023, we held a meeting to report on the implementation of project activities at the meeting room of the Department of Labor and Social Welfare in Luang Prabang Province. co-chaired by Mr. Soulisak Phommali, Provincial Party Committee, Head of Department of Labor and Social Welfare of Luang Prabang Province, Mr. SaengAloun LuangLad, Deputy Director of the Department of Policy for the Working, Disabled, and Elderly, Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, and Mr. NouanTa Latsavongxay, representative from CBM Global, with relevant partners from the Ministry, Provincial, District, and Project Teams, which include a total of 47 people (10 women), 5 people with disabilities (1 female). The objective is to report on the implementation of the first year of the project, starting from January - July 2023.

In the meeting, the participants listened to the presentation from the project team, had a discussion, and shared opinions about the achievements, problems, challenges, and solutions, the use of the budget, and the plan to be implemented in the future. Also, before attending the meeting, the participants visited the target village in Nongchong Village, Chomphet District, Luang Prabang Province, and met with the village authorities, representatives of self-help groups, and disabled members about the results of the first project and what the who want to continue supporting the project in the future.
