In the last week of August 2023, we completed the training of pig raising techniques for the target group in Pholad village, Chomphet district, Luang Prabang province. Under the chairmanship of Mr. Thongvan Chanpheng, Deputy Director of the Office of Labor and Social Welfare in Chomphet District, there were participants from the Agriculture and Forestry Office, Departments and Social Welfare Offices in Chomphet District, the project team and the target group, a total of 22 people (9 women), including 1 disabled person.

We have introduced knowledge and practice together in many topics such as: selection of a place to build pig pens, selection of pig breeders and mothers, making supplementary food, how to observe pregnant pigs, vaccination against swine diseases and others. So that the target group can learn and apply in their daily life by raising pigs as a business in the future to generate income for them.
